"Graffiti in Miami" curated by Brandon Opalka for Now Contemporary.
Rigid is a painting show by some of Miami's most prolific graffiti artist.
Graffiti has been a staple in Miami's underground culture since the late
1970's. Over the years, in the ever-changing Miami art scene these artists have
been consistently leaving their marks in abandoned warehouses and railroad track sides.
Graffiti is always criticized for its illegal activity by taggers and bombers,
but it is the most influential art movement since pop art. With this
collaboration, between the gallery and the artists over 25 canvases have been
created to display the talent of these amazing muralist.
